Lord, search my heart

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
(Psalms 139: 23-24. nlt)

I know You see my heart ABBA, I know that You know me better than I can ever know myself. I know that You see me, all of me, all that I am, all I can be. I know You love me.

But I also know that I am a mess. I know that even when my mouth cannot form the words, my heart doubts You. I am unsure. I am ungrateful. I worry. And I am sorry.

Jireh, help me.
Help me see You even when tears cloud my sight.
Help me feel You even when goosebumps from fear litter my skin.
Help me trust You. Remind me of who You are.

ABBA, search my heart.
The things I do that You do not like, take them out.
Fill me with Your good will, Your good thoughts.
Make me more and more like You.
Lead me in the path that gives life.

Today, I reaffirm my love and my life to You.
And today, I behold and I become. Amen.
